Different (learners) people’s views of Jesus
John 9:13-23
- Session: 31
- Week: 5
- Day: 5
Introduction
In the previous session, John 9:1-12, we focused on Jesus’s view, the disciples’ view, the man’s view, and the neighbor’s view on the healing of the man born blind.
In this session, John 9: 13-23, we discover how the Pharisees, the blind man’s parents, and the blind man responded to the man’s healing and why they reacted that way. By this time, the former blind beggar had experienced Jesus on three levels: as a mere man, as a healer, and as a prophet. This is a test of becoming better or bitter for all these travelers.
Objectives
By the end of this session, the learner will have:
- Understood the principles of healing by looking at the healer, the healed man, and the reaction of the onlookers
- Appreciated that Jesus, the light of the world, could enlighten all who sit in darkness and the valley of the shadow of death
- Warned of the dangers of religion in hindering travelers from seeing Jesus
Outline
- Different reactions about the Healing of a man born blind
- The former blind man experiences seeing Jesus better.
