The Gospel of John

Outcomes of the Gospel of John: Jesus is the Son of God

The book of John is the true account of who Jesus is, as revealed by himself (see the 7 “I AM” statements). In this account, Jesus is our best model of winning souls to himself through different strategies such as expressing the word, giving life, and manifesting light to those living in darkness. Those who believe this testimony are given power to become sons of God and are made to inherit eternal life. Won souls are expected to:

  1. Believe in Jesus, the Son of God
  2. Belong to Jesus, the Son of God
  3. Become like Jesus, the Son of God
  4. Bear fruit for Jesus, the Son of God

From different examples of won souls given in this book, we know that the more we spend time with Jesus, the Son of God, in prayer, in Bible study, and in meditation, the more our eyes of understanding are opened to know him better, experience him better, and express him better to the Christ-rejecting world.

“For what is our hope, our joy, or crown of boasting before our Lord Jesus at his coming? Is it not you?”
